Arrivederci My Friends

My dear Rotary friends

I started this blog to share my thoughts about Rotary and to give everyone and opportunity to have their say. It was never my intention to usurp the role of the D3300 District Trainer. It has been brought to my attention that a blog called Rotary Trainer may be the source of some confusion and that some Rotarians may errorneously believe that I am the District Trainer. For the record, I have had the privilege  in the past to serve as a Deputy District Trainer on two ocassions.

However, I want to stop this misconception. I have the utmost respect and admiration for our D3300 District Trainers, past, present and future, whom I beleive put in a great deal of effort and do a tremendous job.

Accordingly I am ending this BLOG with immediate effect.

I have said my piece and I am very grateful for the hundreds of Rotarians who have been following this blog and sharing their views with me. I have learnt a great deal from the views you have expressed.

Thank you and GOD BLESS ALL OF US. Let us go forth to Build Communities and Bridge Continents.

  3. Dear PP Dr.Siva,
To be honest with you, I don’t think this blog should be unplugged. Damm to those are envy about this blog. The word “Rotary Trainer” doesn’t mean that you are a Rotary Trainer. It is merely a title, a heading, an identity, and to a simple layman’s term; a name of something. Doesn’t it mean that my name calls “Robin”, that means I am a bird with wings and with a red-chest?
For those who truly believed in Rotary should learn to be appreciative. For those who are truly passionate in Rotary should learn to be tolerance. For those who loved to be called as Rotarian should learn to respect each other sensitivities and not gossip from behind. For those who are strong believer, passionate, love and respect Rotary should lived by the 4 Way Test as their daily bread.
Seriously, from my point of view, Rotary is no place for self-interests. Rotary is not a platform for debating who are better, or more clever, or who knows Rotary information more than the other. But, the true and ingenious fundamentals of Rotary begins with fellowship; from our sincere fellowship we developed friendship; from our true friendship we work as an irreplaceable group towards one motto, Service above Self; and from our continuous bonding through understanding and toleranceof of all mankind, Rotary will be motion eternally.
Sometime I feel sad about some ‘Rotarians’ who don’t walk the talk. All they want in Rotary is to be the ‘Big Brother’, and worst still, they influence others and create ‘camps’ unnoticingly. Some even buy favours, throw expensive dinners to garner others to be on their sides. With the advance in multi-media, some even send discreet messages about another Rotarian to champion themselves for top position. For me, those thinkings are selfish, and immature.
I guessed, those who are in this catergory fails in politics, therefore, they are here in Rotary to have the own politics played.
    me.
